Chapter 76: The Tianyuan Saint's Roar

Chapter 76: The Tianyuan Saint's Roar

Outside the Hidden Dragon Secret Realm.

The rainbow-lit portal shimmered with dazzling radiance as countless gazes converged upon it from all directions.

When Yuan Hualong and several dozen Huntian Sect disciples emerged earlier, it had caused quite a stir.

In the past, each time the Huntian Sect entered the Hidden Dragon Secret Realm, they would send in anywhere from a hundred to over two hundred disciples. Yet, only twenty or thirty would ever make it out alive.

This time, however, more than sixty or seventy had survived—several times the usual number.

These disciples who could enter the Hidden Dragon Secret Realm were all prodigies, even peerless geniuses, each with extraordinary potential and boundless futures.

The faces of the Tianyuan Sacred Land members darkened instantly, as did those from Juejian Palace and Tian Dao Sect.

They had failed to wipe out the Huntian Sect’s disciples.

In contrast, the Huntian Sect was overjoyed.

The more disciples that survived, the better. Not only did it mean their younger generation boasted more prodigies and peerless geniuses, ensuring the sect’s legacy, but it also meant they could bring back more spiritual herb resources—a tremendous advantage.

However, under pressure from the various factions, Yuan Hualong and the others had no choice but to recount the events inside.

The matter of Qi Sha Hall was glossed over.

The focus was on how Chen Feng had used the saintly herb as leverage to negotiate terms with the three sacred lands.

But since their safe departure had been the first condition, they had no idea how things had ultimately unfolded.

"What a pity. In the end, even the Huntian Sect couldn’t hold onto the saintly herb," murmured some from the First-Class Powers.

"The Huntian Sect is in decline. It’s only natural they couldn’t keep the saintly herb," sneered an elder from the Heavenly Arms Sect.

"Peak Master Wang, your disciple truly has both courage and cunning," sighed a Dao Integration Realm elder.

Wang Yuandao and a group of Dao Integration Realm experts had gathered around the portal, waiting. The moment Chen Feng appeared, they would protect him at all costs.

When the rainbow light rippled violently, all eyes snapped toward it.

In the next instant, a figure emerged.

Pale-faced, weak in aura, robes tattered and stained with blood—he looked as if he had suffered grievous injuries, his life flickering like a candle in the wind, on the verge of being snuffed out at any moment.

"Master!"

The moment Chen Feng stepped through the portal and saw Wang Yuandao, he called out.

"Don’t speak," Wang Yuandao flashed forward, supporting Chen Feng instantly. The other elders swiftly moved to shield him.

"Brat, where is the saintly herb?" A Tianyuan Sacred Land elder descended, looking down imperiously. It was Chixingzi, his Dao Integration Realm aura erupting without restraint, oppressive as a collapsing river, searing with terrifying heat. His voice boomed like thunder.

"Chixingzi, you’re courting death!" Wang Yuandao’s fury erupted, his eyes gleaming with sword-like cold light as his sword intent surged skyward, piercing the clouds.

In response, overwhelming auras erupted from the other Tianyuan Sacred Land elders, pressing down like a crushing tide.

The Huntian Sect’s Dao Integration Realm experts also unleashed their formidable auras.

Yet, they were outnumbered.

Under the collision of terrifying auras, the sky darkened, and the earth trembled as if the heavens were about to collapse and the earth to split. Such overwhelming momentum instantly silenced the onlookers.

"I’ve already placed the saintly herb in the Huntian Space Ring and discarded it. Who will claim it now, I wonder?" Chen Feng responded weakly, sounding like a man on the brink of death from severe injuries.

Powerful divine senses swept over Chen Feng, searching him recklessly, yet they found no trace of any spatial rings on him. Still, the humiliation of being scrutinized so freely by these divine senses filled Chen Feng with silent fury.

Soon after, another figure emerged from the rainbow-lit portal—a Quasi-Saint from the Zhenwu Sacred Land.

"The Tianyuan Saint has seized the saintly herb," the Quasi-Saint declared immediately upon appearing.

All attention shifted toward him. Seizing the opportunity, Wang Yuandao swiftly escorted Chen Feng back aboard the Sky Patrol Giant Ship.

"Go!"

Without hesitation, the Huntian Sect’s Sky Patrol Giant Ship activated, gradually accelerating as it departed.

Many witnessed this scene, including members of the three great sacred lands, but at this moment, no one paid it any mind—their focus remained fixed on the saintly herb.

"Hahaha! As expected of our sacred land’s Saint!" Chixingzi and the others burst into laughter.

Securing the saintly herb was no small benefit, and it was also a matter of great prestige. After all, with three Saints vying for it, the Tianyuan Saint’s victory implied he had surpassed the other two.

This was a contest of supremacy.

Even a momentary advantage was no easy feat.

In contrast, the expressions of the Nangong Imperial Clan and the Zhenwu Saint’s faction darkened considerably.

Now, all they could do was wait—continue waiting.

Figures emerged intermittently, most of them disciples from the Ten Great Powers, excluding the Huntian Sect. Their testimonies confirmed that the Tianyuan Saint had indeed been the first to seize the Huntian Space Ring containing the saintly herb, though the other two Saints had yet to concede.

Thus, who would emerge victorious remained uncertain.

As the Hidden Dragon Secret Realm’s closing time drew nearer, everyone except the three Saints had exited.

"Hmm, didn’t the Tianyuan Sacred Land send over two hundred disciples inside? Why have fewer than two hundred returned?" someone noted, puzzled.

In the past, the three sacred lands rarely suffered significant losses among their disciples. Yet this time, dozens had perished.

The Tianyuan Sacred Land’s elders were equally baffled, their faces grim as they demanded answers.

"It was Chen Feng of the Huntian Sect! He killed at least twenty of our Tianyuan Sacred Land’s disciples!" one surviving disciple cried out, his voice filled with grief and indignation.

But in truth?

The number of Tianyuan Sacred Land disciples who had fallen to Chen Feng’s sword far exceeded twenty.

For a moment, many felt a chill run down their spines, while the Tianyuan Sacred Land’s elders burned with fury.

"We should have crushed that brat right here earlier!" Chixingzi snarled, his crimson hair billowing as his eyes blazed like fiery stars, his aura scorching everything around him.

But now, the Huntian Sect’s Sky Patrol Giant Ship had already vanished into the distance, leaving no trace behind.

It's not that they couldn't pursue, but the issue was that sending a few people would be ineffective, while mobilizing the majority risked the Tianyuan Saint emerging with the saintly herb. What if the other two sacred lands, seeing the Tianyuan Sacred Land's elders diminished in number, resorted to lacking martial virtue and seized it by force? They had to be cautious! For now, they could only let the Huntian Sect go, settling the score later.

The rainbow light portal suddenly rippled, signaling the imminent closure of the Hidden Dragon Secret Realm. Tension gripped the three sacred lands. If it closed before their saints emerged, even obtaining the saintly herb would be pointless—utterly worthless.

At the critical moment, three figures emerged one after another, swiftly exiting the portal and appearing before everyone. The elders of the three sacred lands immediately moved to shield their respective saints. After a quick inspection, they were relieved to find no severe injuries. However, the Tianyuan Saint appeared the most disheveled, his wounds noticeably worse.

"Where is the saintly herb?" the Tianyuan Sacred Land elders pressed.

The Tianyuan Saint produced the Huntian Space Ring. One elder took it and immediately probed it with his divine sense. The joy on his face vanished, replaced by a grim expression.

"Saint, where is the saintly herb?"

"Isn’t it inside?" the Tianyuan Saint asked in surprise.

The other elders also checked, only to confirm that the Huntian Space Ring was indeed empty—not a trace of the saintly herb, not even a single rare herb remained.

"Tianyuan Sacred Land, how amusing. If you’ve taken the saintly herb, just admit it. We won’t fight over it now. Why put on such a charade?" a Zhenwu Sacred Land elder sneered.

"Exactly. Such theatrics only make you look petty," an elder of the Nangong Imperial Clan added.

The Nangong Saint and Zhenwu Saint both cast disdainful glances at the Tianyuan Saint.

For a moment, the Tianyuan Saint was stunned. Then, as if struck by lightning, realization dawned on him.

"Chen Feng, I swear I’ll tear you to pieces..."
