Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Absolute Mystery (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform and make purchases. If you are under 13, you may not create an account or purchase Echo Packs.

2. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You may not share your account credentials with others or use another user’s account without permission.

3. Echoes and Purchases

Echoes are the Platform’s virtual currency used to unlock premium novel chapters. Echo Pack purchases are processed through PayPal and are final and non-refundable. Once purchased, Echoes cannot be refunded, exchanged for cash or credit, or transferred to another account — regardless of whether they have been used.

Echoes have no cash value and are not redeemable for real currency. We reserve the right to modify Echo pricing, grant bonus Echoes, or discontinue Echo Packs at any time. Echoes do not expire, but we may modify this policy with reasonable notice.

Prices displayed for Echo Packs may not include applicable taxes (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax). You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to your purchase. If a technical error prevents purchased Echoes from being credited to your account, contact our support team and we will correct the issue.

Payment Disputes. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with PayPal for an Echo Pack purchase, we reserve the right to immediately suspend your account and revoke any Echoes associated with it pending resolution of the dispute.

4. Content

All novel content, translations, and materials on the Platform are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may read content for personal, non-commercial use only.

You may not copy, redistribute, republish, or create derivative works from Platform content without explicit permission from the rights holders.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to misuse the Platform, including but not limited to:

• Attempting to bypass paywalls or access locked content without authorization.
• Using automated tools (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access, extract, or copy Platform content.
• Uploading malicious code or interfering with Platform operations.
• Harassing other users or violating community guidelines.
• Circumventing security measures or testing the vulnerability of our systems.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. Violations that may lead to termination include scraping or stealing content, bypassing paywalls, and using automated tools to extract Platform data.

Echo Balance on Termination. If your account is terminated for violating these Terms, you will forfeit any remaining Echo balance associated with your account. No refunds will be issued for forfeited Echoes.

7. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that content will meet your expectations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Absolute Mystery and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, including loss of data, loss of Echoes, or loss of access to purchased content.

9. General Provisions

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Absolute Mystery regarding your use of the Platform and supersede any prior agreements.

Class Action Waiver. You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action or representative proceeding, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Copyright Infringement

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content on our Platform infringes your copyright, please contact us through our support channels with a detailed description of the alleged infringement, including the specific content and proof of ownership. We will review and take appropriate action.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or email.
