Chapter 95: Internal Trading Network

Chapter 95: Internal Trading Network

In a hotel in Hedong City, Chen Shouyi's fingers flew across the keyboard as he typed in a URL and pressed enter.

The computer quickly displayed a minimalist account login page.

There was no registration option.

Chen Shouyi took out his Martial Artist Certificate, glanced at it, and entered his martial artist ID along with the initial password. A second later, a webpage indistinguishable from any ordinary site appeared.

This was the exclusive Internal Trading Network for Martial Artists.

When he had registered as a Martial Artist, an account for this website had been created simultaneously. However, he had been in a hurry to return home at the time and only now had the chance to log in.

The webpage had only two sections: an e-commerce trading platform and a Martial Artist forum.

He first opened the e-commerce section and found it further divided into three categories:

Supportive Medicines, Poisons, and Weapons & Armor.

Chen Shouyi clicked on the Supportive Medicines category.

There weren’t many items—just a single page with a dozen or so varieties.

Most sellers had names ending with "Laboratory," such as the highest-priced "Divine Marrow" and "Divine Blood," which came from the Capital Supernatural Biology Research Institute. The third-ranked "Soul Liquid" was from the Zhonghai Special Medicine Laboratory.

Chen Shouyi had expected these items to be exorbitantly expensive, but they turned out to be far more affordable than he’d imagined.

The "Divine Marrow," the most expensive, cost only one million, with a quantity of approximately 20 milliliters.

One million might seem steep, but any Martial Artist’s relocation allowance could easily cover it.

The second, the long-rumored "Divine Blood," was priced at 800,000 for about 100 milliliters.

As for the third-ranked "Soul Liquid," it cost only 600,000.

However, Chen Shouyi soon discovered that there were purchase restrictions. For instance, the top three medicines could only be bought up to three times per Martial Artist. After that, Merit Points would be required.

This made sense to him. If a Martial Artist happened to be wealthy or acted as a proxy buyer for others, purchasing dozens or even hundreds of units would be trivial.

Clearly, these items were in short supply within the Great Xia Nation, making them scarce resources. If resold, their prices could easily multiply several times over. The authorities obviously wouldn’t leave such an obvious loophole.

Next, he clicked on the most expensive item, the "Divine Marrow." A small glass vial contained a drop of transparent liquid emitting a soft glow.

According to the product description, this wasn’t actual marrow from a Deity’s corpse but rather cerebrospinal fluid. Its effects, as described, could greatly enhance a Martial Artist’s neural reflexes, boost Intelligence, and to some extent, improve Constitution.

Chen Shouyi’s expression flickered as he reread the effects.

The other benefits didn’t particularly interest him—his twice-optimized Thirty-Six Body Refining Techniques could already improve those. But Intelligence was the one area his techniques couldn’t train.

If not for the Book of Knowledge causing his body to regress once, his Intelligence would still be stuck at a pitiful 10 points or so.

He was sorely tempted.

Unfortunately, all his money, including gold, only amounted to about 500,000. If he wanted to buy it, he’d have to wait until his relocation allowance came through.

He then clicked on the second-ranked "Divine Blood."

This is a transparent liquid with a faint golden-yellow glow, derived from the Deity's Cellular Fluid.

According to the description, its effects include strengthening a person's Strength and Constitution, enhancing the body's self-healing ability, and even granting a chance to awaken supernatural abilities.

As for "Soul Liquid," compared to the dazzling brilliance of the previous two, it appears rather plain—a transparent, colorless, viscous fluid. It is said to be extracted from the brain of a special creature and can greatly enhance Perception.

Apart from these three, the prices of the other medicines drop significantly, ranging from a few hundred to at most tens of thousands.

For example, there’s the Strengthening Fluid, which fortifies internal organs and external muscles, and the Body-Refining Oil, an auxiliary aid for cultivation. Their main ingredients are refined from powerful Otherworldly transcendent creatures and rare medicinal herbs, yet a large bottle costs only around 30,000.

The products on this internal network clearly aren’t profit-driven but rather aimed at bolstering the Martial Artist community.

At the bottom of the page, Chen Shouyi also spotted several Potent Stimulants, evidently meant for life-or-death situations on the battlefield.

...

Out of curiosity, Chen Shouyi next clicked on the Toxins Category.

He was instantly astonished. There were biological toxins like snake venom, mineral toxins such as cyanide, and even radioactive toxins sealed in lead containers. Most were sold by the gram or even milligram—just a smear on a sword or arrowhead, and the victim would perish instantly.

However, Chen Shouyi noticed that due to their extreme danger—some being volatile or radioactive—purchasing them came with strict restrictions. Not only did it require a large amount of Contribution Points, but one also needed the Explorer title to even have the authority to buy them.

As for weapons and miscellaneous items, there wasn’t much worth noting—mostly products from renowned cold weapon manufacturers, though the discounts here were steep, often 50-60% cheaper than on commercial weapon websites.

...

Chen Shouyi closed the webpage without making any purchases.

He was still staying at a Hotel and didn’t have a permanent residence yet. If a delivery arrived now and he moved later, it would just be a hassle.

Instead, he opened his briefcase and released Shell Woman.

Immediately, he noticed she was damp. Leaning in to sniff, he frowned and demanded, "Did you wet yourself?"

Shell Woman angrily turned her head away, squirming vigorously. Seeing this, Chen Shouyi quickly grabbed scissors to cut the ropes binding her limbs, then tore off the tape covering her mouth.

Unexpectedly, her temper flared even hotter than his. She stood up, fuming, and snapped, "You locked me up! Where else was I supposed to pee?"

"Couldn’t you hold it for a while?"

"No! If you lock me up this long again, I’ll pee—and I’ll even poop! I’ll stink you to death!" Shell Woman huffed, her anger growing fiercer by the day, needing an outlet every now and then.

Chen Shouyi’s finger trembled as he pointed at her, utterly exasperated. Taking a deep breath, he said coldly, "Hmph. I was going to show you the Bei Qi, but now I guess I won’t."

The moment the words left his mouth, Shell Woman’s previously furious expression froze. Her eyes widened in shock.

She glanced around at the unfamiliar surroundings again, then at the still-glowing computer screen. A mix of astonishment, delight, and regret flashed through her mind, her face shifting between emotions.

Before long, she began to squirm awkwardly and said, "This... this, I just couldn't hold it."

"You said earlier you needed to defecate?"

Shell Woman shook her head vigorously and shouted, "No!"

"Then will you still throw tantrums?"

"No more!" Shell Woman kept shaking her head, then her eyes flickered as she added, "As long as you show me the Bei Qi, I won't throw any!"

Chen Shouyi pointed at Shell Woman, then grabbed her with his big hand.

Shell Woman immediately shrieked, "#@# Giant, let me go! I want to see the Bei Qi!"

"Go take a bath. You reek."

"No baths! I hate baths!"
