A faint pink mist instantly enveloped the area within a hundred-meter radius. The Purple Crystal Beast sniffed the air but seemed entirely unaffected. It turned its head and charged toward Qin Han once more, like a massive truck. The entire sequence left him no room to catch his breath.

The agile Nightmare barely dodged the beast's attack yet again. However, Qin Han's sharp senses picked up on something—the Purple Crystal Beast's movements had slowed ever so slightly compared to before.

Even if the effect was minuscule, it was still good news. He hadn’t expected the Poison Barrier Aura’s slowing effect to work fully on a legendary monster like this. A slight reduction in speed meant the chances of getting hit had decreased, at least marginally.

Steeling his nerves, Qin Han continued maneuvering Nightmare in wide arcs while relentlessly firing precise shots with the Godslayer Bow.

Enraged by its missed strike, the Purple Crystal Beast leaped high into the air before slamming down with earth-shaking force.

Instantly, an invisible shockwave radiated outward in all directions. The attack was impossibly fast and indiscriminate. Qin Han, caught at the epicenter, was sent flying five meters back along with Nightmare.

This time, however, it was different. As it closed in, its razor-sharp tail lashed out in a sudden sweep. Fortunately, Nightmare reacted even faster—just as the tail swung toward them, it leaped violently, narrowly avoiding a fatal strike.

The mineral wall behind them was not so lucky. With a single devastating tail swipe, the beast carved a deep trench into the solid rock.

Heart still pounding, Qin Han swiftly retreated to another part of the cavern, continuing to kite the beast.
