In the dimly lit corridor, the Asphalt Supernatural Entity, dragging its torn lower half, finally came to a stop before a room.

"Don’t worry. I’m a man of my word," Ji Yan replied casually, his eyes narrowing as he studied the sign reading "Organ Storage Room."
The Monkey Player had a chance to escape—why didn’t he flee back to the dormitory and rely on the "lodging protection rules" to save himself? Instead, he chose this place...

"Liu Yan, you—"
Ji Yan turned to warn her, only to fall silent.
Liu Yan was already stuffing the Asphalt Supernatural Entity’s upper half into her mouth, bit by bit. The creature shrieked in terror, "You said you’d keep your word!"
After a pause, Ji Yan replied coolly, "I was the one who promised. The one eating you made no such vow."
"Besides, the Zodiac Goat is the biggest liar in this hospital. How dare you trust my words?"
Once Liu Yan finished devouring the Asphalt Supernatural Entity, she wiped the blood from her lips and grinned at Ji Yan. "Goat Doctor, what were you going to say earlier?"
"Nothing. Stay close to me once we’re inside."
Ji Yan pushed open the door and stepped into the dark storage room.
Most of the space was filled with formaldehyde-filled containers preserving various organs. The dim lighting strained the eyes, creating an unsettling visual discomfort.
With too many shadowy corners to search, Ji Yan recalled the candle he’d received as a reward.
The Candle of the Midnight Dead functioned similarly to the flashlight Mother had given him in the apartment—it detected nearby Supernatural Entities. The more terrifying the entity, the faster the candle burned.
He lit the wick.
A faint, eerie blue-green flame flickered to life, casting an even more sinister glow across the darkness.
Creak.
A sound came from deep within—a stretcher bed shifting.
Ji Yan followed the noise. From his perspective, the patient lying on the bed was adjusting their limbs, bones cracking crisply.
As the figure stiffly sat up, twisting its neck, Ji Yan froze.
This was a storage room. Why was there a patient here?
Before he could ponder further, the candle’s tiny flame suddenly erupted as if doused in gasoline. A brilliant blue blaze illuminated the entire room.
In just half a minute, it burned out completely.

She propped her chin on her hand, her large face leaning closer. "Patients? What patients? Goat Doctor, I don’t see any..."
"Goat Doctor, I don’t know why, but I’m so sleepy right now. I’ll take a nap first. If you need me to beat someone up, just call me."
After muttering these words, Liu Yan simply sprawled on the floor and fell into a deep sleep.

No matter how Ji Yan called out, Liu Yan remained unresponsive, her steady snores echoing in the room.

He turned his head and saw that the mysterious patient had already appeared within two meters of him.

The mysterious patient didn’t act immediately.
Instead, it leaned its head closer. As the light fell on its face, Ji Yan felt a strange sense of familiarity.
Why did this face seem... familiar?
At this moment, the Mysterious Patient released Ji Yan, took two steps back, and wiped the smile off his face before turning to look at the Monkey Player.
The Monkey Player stared at the Mysterious Patient in confusion, then laughed. "You want me to do it myself?"
"Fine, I’ve been holding back my anger anyway."
The Monkey Player stepped forward, retrieving a slender scalpel from his Toolbar.
"Goat Doctor, my apologies. Truth is, it’s not me targeting you—it’s the other zodiac members."
The Monkey Player grinned, shoving his face close to Ji Yan’s. Ji Yan’s expression darkened, as if he wanted to say something, but then his eyes flickered.
His face shifted several times before he spoke cryptically, "I think… I’ve always had pretty good luck."
"Every time I’m in a desperate situation, I manage to survive. I have a feeling this time won’t be any different!"

The instant the words left his mouth, the Monkey Player’s pupils contracted violently.
Blood sprayed into the air as his head jerked down stiffly, staring at the bloody hand that had pierced through his chest.
At the heart clutched tightly in its five fingers.
"Wha—"
The Monkey Player twitched as he turned his head, glaring at the Mysterious Patient behind him, his mind completely blank.
