Chapter 60: Sibling Reunion
He Jie was taken away, and the game continued. Everyone split up again to search for clues.
"I’m telling you, I noticed that when we were tearing He Jie’s name tag, Brother Jiaming didn’t help at all. He just stood there watching. There’s a good chance he’s a Black Cloud Clan member," Tang Ting shared his observations with them.
"Then let’s go tear Brother Jiaming’s name tag!" Xia Jin said.
"Just tear it directly? What if we’re wrong?" Tang Ting asked.
Xia Jin then began his persuasion, saying to Tang Ting, "Anyway, all three of us are from the Xuanyuan Clan. Out of the other three, two are Black Cloud Clan members. We just need to tear all of theirs to win."
"Brother! You’re not a Black Cloud Clan member, are you?" Tang Ting asked uneasily.
Xia Jin frowned at his words, displeased. "The three of us are like real siblings. If you don’t believe me, I’ll show you the label on the back of my name tag. It really upsets me that you’d doubt me like this."
With that, he turned his back to Tang Ting, letting him check.
Tang Ting had only asked casually. "Alright, Brother! I believe you. Let’s go tear all of theirs now!"
"Let’s go!" Xia Jin said.
The three siblings then began walking forward side by side!
Li Jiaming and the other two were indeed together. Xia Jin gave Tang Ting a meaningful look, then pretended to ask about clues to distract them.
"Rip—" Tang Ting took advantage of Li Jiaming’s lack of vigilance and tore off his name tag. The label on the back read "Xuanyuan Clan."
"Li Jiaming, out!"
Chen Yuwen and Zhao Ning were stunned. They moved toward Tang Ting and asked, "Why did you tear his name tag?"
"I thought he was a Black Cloud Clan member!" Tang Ting handed the name tag back to Li Jiaming, looking innocent.
"Why did you think he was a Black Cloud Clan member?" Zhao Ning asked.
"I saw he didn’t help tear He Jie’s name tag earlier," Tang Ting replied. Zhao Ning and the other two smiled, clearly not believing him.
Seizing the opportunity, Xia Jin tried to tear Chen Yuwen’s name tag, but Chen Yuwen was extremely alert and dodged quickly.
"The two of you are Black Cloud Clan members, right?" Zhao Ning asked.
"Clearly, you two are the Black Cloud Clan members," Tang Ting insisted, unwavering in his belief in the trio’s identity.
"An Wen, come here," Chen Yuwen said to her. "These two aren’t good people."
An Wen also pretended to fully trust the trio’s identity, saying, "I think you’re the one who’s not good."
With both sides’ allegiances revealed, the battle began. True to his reputation as the powerhouse, Chen Yuwen had no trouble fighting two at once—dodging Xia Jin’s attack while grabbing Tang Ting’s clothes.
After a scuffle, a "rip—" sound marked the end as Chen Yuwen tore off Tang Ting’s name tag.
Another Xuanyuan Clan member.
Outmatched, Xia Jin shouted, "Run!" and took off in long strides!
An Wen, slow to react, followed behind him, also breaking into a run.
Chen Yuwen and Zhao Ning chased after them, but the two were too fast, weaving through turns until they disappeared.
"Xia Jin is one thing, but how is An Wen so fast too?" Zhao Ning stopped and said to Chen Yuwen.
The two ran into a storage room, and Xia Jin closed the door behind them. Leaning against the wall, panting, Xia Jin’s expression suddenly changed.
An Wen’s heart skipped a beat as she thought: Please don’t tell me my other teammate is this idiot!
Xia Jin moved closer to An Wen and said, "Little An Wen, let me see your name tag."
An Wen shielded her name tag with one hand while stepping back, her face not showing fear but instead a smile as she extended her hand to Xia Jin and said, "Shall we shake hands?"
Xia Jin was startled but reached out, and the two of them shook hands twice before pausing—then they shook a third time together.
"Pfft..." They burst into laughter, sharing a knowing look!
