Chapter 2220

**Chapter 2220 - The Long Breath**

"...Do you think he meant what he said?"

"..?" The Executioner Tanuya snapped out of her focus for a moment. "Don't tell me you're going to try and claim the gift."

"Not that..." Robin sighed. "But that person gave me several missions and never gifted me anything. He used me to turn the universe inside out and gave me nothing in return. I'm starting to think I'm an unpaid laborer." Then he showed a small smile. "I'm just wondering what kind of reward he meant..."

"He gave you all those laws, yet you say he gave you nothing? You have a big appetite, it seems." Tanuya returned to examining her attack plan. "That entity has a long reach and great influence. Few are capable of gathering The Court, and he is one of them. If he spoke of a reward, it is certainly something significant... I see you are still a Martial Emperor. Perhaps he will bring you a good Stabilizer."

"Stabilizer?" Robin narrowed his eyes. "A physical item like that—how can I obtain it from a Soul Shard?"

"It's just a guess. He really did cheat and gave you four Master Laws—what could be called a reward beyond that? If he were to give you a big reward, it would be something tangible." Tanuya began waving her pointed scepter, "He'll likely send it as a package with a loyal Executioner, but calculating the distance, he won't arrive for several thousand years."

Then she flashed a smile, "Do you intend to kill me and wait several thousand years?"

"Of course not." Robin waved twice and shook his head, "I can't wait that long."

"..?" Tanuya furrowed her brows, "It seems hearing all that information has addled your mind, so let me refresh your memory a bit..." She then started advancing, "You won't live to see tomorrow."

"It seems there's a misunderstanding here." Slowly, Robin pulled out a slender spear—a fourth-level planetary gear recently obtained by the Shadow Swords through their private trade network and brought to the Glass House.

Robin's eyes began to steady, "When I told you I'd take half your life if I died, what did you conclude from that?"

"...?" Tanuya furrowed her brows as she advanced.

"I'll tell you anyway." Robin waved the spear, "The truth is, you won't be able to touch me today. If I die, it will be because of my body's weakness."

"Oh? Is that a challenge?" The Dark Executioner's eyes gleamed with murderous intent.

"Think whatever you like. You won't touch me today." Robin raised his head slightly. "As for taking half your life, I also know I can't injure you severely enough to inflict a wound of that magnitude. My level of laws and personal energy haven't reached that point yet."

"Good that you know." Tanuya continued advancing.

"What I meant by taking half your life... is that I'll make you wish for death." A terrifying murderous intent began seeping from Robin's eyes—an emperor's killing intent that made even the Executioner's own wilt in comparison. "Even if you leave victorious today, you'll remember this day for as long as you live. You'll never be what you were before... This is my true promise."

"Big words." Tanuya stopped. "Show me."

Whoosh.

The Dark Executioner vanished. Her terrifying speed made it seem as though she had merged with the Void.

Or perhaps that was exactly what happened.

"The long-range arrow attack ended badly, so this time you want to get close enough to slit my throat directly?" Robin chuckled. "That won't be easy."

Thump.

The Net Cube spun on its axis.

Instantly, the Void surrounding Robin began to tremble violently and surge like a raging sea wave.

"What?!" Tanuya was forced to stop; her speed was no longer usable in this situation.

Then she noticed something—

Hoom

The massive eye focused on her, and a golden glowing point appeared in the center of her chest.

Then she saw Robin raise his spear upward and aim it at that point.

"Stop your delusions!!" Tanuya retreated backward quickly in a zigzag pattern—anything related to that massive eye was best avoided.

"Useless attempts." Robin muttered.

He repeated.

The Causality Disc moved until it reached the broken spear tip, producing a strong striking sound.

Then small patterns emerged from it as usual, but this time Robin deliberately translated them using golden energy.

<Fate Alteration: The Attack Will Inevitably Reach.>

Then he thrust in a random direction without aiming.

Kshsh

The energy attack collided with one of the spacetime waves and changed its trajectory.

Bam

Then it struck the fin of one of the Nascent Space Beasts, piercing through it.

Bof

Then it broke a small branch of the Father Tree, altering its course once again.

Then—

"What?!" Tanuya suddenly felt the danger.

Baaf

The spear strike landed on the left side of her abdomen, creating a small hole, and black blood began to seep from it.

"Damn it!" The Dark Executioner stopped and wiped her hand over her abdomen, and the wound healed instantly.

“Ah ha, there you are.” Robin finally managed to spot her. “You’re truly lucky—if Causality were only at the Third Level, it would have struck the target with precision.”

“…Arrogant and deluded, just like your master.” Anger twisted Tanuya’s features, and she paused for a moment to calculate the movement pattern of the spacetime waves. “I want to see your limits!”

Then she lunged forward again.

“My limits?” Robin smiled.

*Thump*

The Pan of the Scale tilted, and Robin’s energy returned to perfection.

*Click*

The Gear of Determinism began to spin rapidly until it struck with a resounding blow.

Golden words emerged: <You will never hide from the eyes again.>

Then it sent a thread toward the Ouroboros Ring.

*Huum*

The snake began to devour large chunks of its own tail, and then something strange started to happen.

Above Robin, energy began to gather and swirl, forming a small sun—a sun with a strange yellow light that illuminated the entire area.

“What?” Tanuya felt the light upon her and recognized it instantly.

That was a real dwarf star from the universes, but it was a unique type specialized in its extremely fast rays—it was rare to find any creature that could outpace its rays and escape its detection range.

The rays of that star were faster and more piercing than Spiritual Sense!

“There you are!” Robin chuckled.

Then his expression suddenly cooled:

<Guillotine>

*Zing—*

"Ugh!!" Tanuya stopped when she felt a piercing pain in her forehead.

She quickly raised her hand to touch it, feeling a deep wound that had cut through skin and flesh, gnawing into the bone.

The wound was deeper than the one on her neck.

Tanuya healed herself swiftly, then shouted at Robin: "You're making your death worse with every passing second!!"

"Hmm... my death?" Robin looked extremely tired, but not just tired—he appeared emaciated and gaunt, with a stream of blood beside his mouth. This didn't seem like mere energy depletion.

"I've been through this experiment once. I wonder if it would be the same again..."

Then he gestured toward the Scale, "Again!"
