2364 - Exploring Power - 1
Middle Sector 102—
*Zzzzzzznn*
The Rapid Support Vehicle surged forward with a powerful thrust toward the third ring of planets.
"That's enough!!" At that moment, a figure suddenly appeared before the ring, black veins covering his face and eyes, negative karma around him thick as paste.
That person's eyes twitched with overflowing madness when he saw with his own eyes what had happened to the three outer rings of planets... All galaxy defenses had collapsed, flames rising from a number of planets, dense debris scattered everywhere, and a number of Hostile Flying Insects from World Calamities and Nexus States were entering those planets to attack all defensive positions and disable any means for the inhabitants of those planets to attack them from behind.
And of course, their mission was extremely easy.
For the planets of the Curse Galaxy contained no conscious peoples who loved their homeland—rather, they were nothing but a large farm where children and virgins were continuously harvested for Demonic Rituals, and every so often, entire planetary populations were harvested for use in certain Arrays.
So when the elite soldiers of the Double Hundred Cradle Empire appeared to attack the Followers of the Cursed on every planet, they found no resistance from the inhabitants—only a warm welcome. Nor did they encounter any reaction from the Planet Spirits of those worlds; the most they faced was a wind strong enough to be called a spring breeze... It was clear that the Planet Spirits were resisting the orders of the Galactic Spirit to oppose them!!
In fact, one could go a step further and say that the Galactic Spirit itself had never sent any orders of resistance in the first place!
"Aaaaaah!!!" That newly appeared person cried out, pointing forward.
And from behind him, *whoosh* *whoosh*, a number of Galactic Spacecraft joined the fight, coming from deep within the galaxy.
For after exhausting the Galactic Army in sector 101 for centuries, only a few hundred fleets remained in the entire galaxy, most of the spacecraft having sustained damage of one kind or another and undergoing repairs, so the defensive situation was far from ideal.
*Zzzzn*
In the face of the incoming enemy spacecraft, the Rapid Support Vehicle activated its Instant Space Gate Ability and jumped into it.
It did not reappear until it reached the fifth planetary ring, behind the Newcomer and behind the support arriving with him.
"What?!" The one with Black Veins shouted as he sensed its new location.
He gritted his teeth for a moment and pointed forward, "Advance and annihilate our enemies!!"
As for him, he turned around and went back to attack the Rapid Support Vehicle alone.
The Rapid Support Vehicles had been a nightmare since the beginning of this raid—their sudden movements and unpredictable appearances worked like a dagger in the heart of the galaxy.
The systematic advance had remained stalled at the third outer ring until now; 9 planets had been destroyed, and the enemies were attacking 170 other planets spread across the entire outer border. It was only natural that they would take a very long time in such a crawl and sweep.
But... the Rapid Support Vehicles at this moment were attacking rings 15, 20, and 13, and literally in every ring there was one or two vehicles sabotaging the arrays and paving the way for the advance, and whenever they were cornered, they used that terrifying ability to escape!!
"Stop."
Before that person could step forward to try and destroy the Rapid Support Vehicle, he heard a voice from behind him that made him flinch.
*Whoosh* He immediately retreated to a safe distance and looked behind him with readiness, and instantly opened his eyes wide, "Hedrick?!"
*Whoosh* At that moment, Hedrick emerged from what appeared to be a shattered hole in the fabric of space, tying his long hair back so it wouldn't fall over his glaring crimson eye. In his hand was a long sword, extended beside his thigh.
"How?" The young man with black veins retreated again, "Didn't you fight three of the brothers on the other side of the galaxy just a minute ago?!"
"How long must I keep killing them?" Hedrick began advancing slowly, "There wasn't a single intact piece left of them."
"You... you're lying!!" The young man with black veins retreated slowly, his mind working faster than usual.
He himself was an eight-star Royal Soul Master, yet his body was trembling with fear at this moment.
Who was Hedrick fighting? All of them were First Tier Sons—two of them possessed 7 stars and one possessed 8 stars. They had gone out there simultaneously on a mission to completely cleanse one corner of the galaxy before moving to the next quadrant, moving as a strike force accompanied by dozens of Second Tier Brothers!!
But all of them... died?!
"You're lying!!" The young man shouted again, then produced an array above his palm and screamed, "Tearing of Existence!!"
At that moment, the space between him and Hedrick began to tremble with terrifying power, then *crack*—it started to shatter.
“...” Hedrick did not move, did not dodge, and did not even deploy a protective barrier. He simply stood there with his thick beard and focused eyes staring at his opponent with stern calm, waiting for what was to come.
“Aaaah!!!” The Eight-Star Royal Spirit Master grew tense from that gaze and drew greater power from the array, “Seal of Slow Fall!!”
This time, what emerged was a purely spiritual attack, racing alongside the Tearing of Existence toward Hedrick.
Either of these two attacks could kill a Guardian without question if struck directly—this was not merely an attack from an Eight-Star Royal Spirit Master, but one also bolstered by the Array of the Miserable World, granting him the power of hundreds of millions of souls!
Before that overwhelming force, Hedrick closed his eye, “Hmm, I was wondering about my new limits, but I lacked the courage to try it against three different opponents. I think I'm still thinking within the bounds of my old power, and that will diminish what I can accomplish—my mind will create new limits that don't exist...” Then he showed a small smile, “This test should be enough.”
Then he placed the sword into the ring and raised his arms as if intending to receive his beloved running toward him, “Come, show me what I can do.”
