2385 - Patience
"Hello." Robin spoke with a heavy smile.
"...?" Jabba raised his eyebrows in confusion, then raised his hand and waved, "Hello." Then he looked at his hand with even more bewilderment, "Hey, what am I doing?!"
He then rushed toward Robin, "Teacher, how did you appear so suddenly? That was amazing!"
"My Lord." Althera stood respectfully, then began moving toward Robin as well, but with more composure.
"The Golden Gate? It's a simple movement." Robin nodded as he gazed toward the horizon, "I'll teach it to you later."
"Is it Spacetime?!" Jabba had already reached Robin's side and stared into his eyes curiously, "Can you teach me that?"
"It's not about Spacetime itself, but the Master Laws. Even the Cosmic Elder can open similar gates." Robin spoke calmly with distant eyes, "Apparently, all Master Laws can do something similar when they reach a certain level of mastery... it turns out this leaves scars and fractures in the Heavenly Laws, it seems. Anyone with the power of the Master Laws wouldn't care about something so trivial... apparently."
"...?" Jabba glanced toward Althera, who even furrowed her brows slightly.
Robin's manner of speaking and his gaze were unusual compared to normal.
"My Lord."
At this moment, Sakaar landed on the edge of the cliff and descended into a full bow, "I salute you."
"......" Robin stared at Sakaar expressionlessly for a few seconds before drawing the same smile onto his face, "Come, Sakaar, it's been a long time since we last met... You've grown much stronger, good."
"My strength comes from the Master." Sakaar stood upright, "And it will always be used to serve the Master, now and forever."
"......" Althera furrowed her brows tightly—this was the first time she heard that man speak.
His voice was extremely deep, his gait measured, and his aura oppressive. Even his submissive words seemed polished and calculated, as if a king were speaking.
That man, that Marshal Sakaar, was certainly an educated individual who had received instruction at the highest Stellar Academies. It was strange that he hadn't been deployed to the Middle Belt wars by now.
Then—
*Bam*
Another person arrived, and Althera's eyes immediately turned toward him with some irritation.
"Boss!" Holak opened his arms wide.
Then he immediately pointed at Althera, "That owl says she's become your personal guard—is that true?!"
"You foul-mouthed wretch..." Althera muttered, looking away.
"Hmm?" Robin glanced toward Holak, then toward Althera. "Ah, yes—once Althera regains her strength, she will be my second personal guard. Take care of her until then, and introduce her to the Imperial Guard."
"Count on me!" Holak thumped his chest.
"...?" Althera turned toward Holak. "Just like that?"
"What do you want from me—should I argue with the man?" Holak gestured toward Robin. "He's decided, and that's that. All I can do is carry it out."
"....?" Althera was deeply puzzled by the sudden shift. "Are you going to stop flipping me off every day?"
"Haha, that's cute." Holak slapped Althera on the back before his smile suddenly vanished. "Of course not."
"....."
"...Teacher." Out of everyone, Jabba finally spoke, staring at Robin's face. "You seem distracted. Are you alright?"
"...." Robin raised his left hand and began massaging his forehead. "A small problem has come up, but I'll find a solution for it."
"What kind of small problem could disturb your peace like this?" Jabba shuddered. "Is the sky about to fall on our heads or what?"
Everyone looked toward Robin with anticipation and bewilderment—Holak, furrowing his brows, waiting to hear any complaint so he could step in.
As for Sakaar, he gazed at Robin calmly, not having said a word since he approached. It was clear that something major was unfolding.
"No, the sky will not fall." Robin showed a small smile, "I only have some doubts I cannot confirm—doubts that, if true, would change so much... a great deal of blood would be spilled."
Then he looked toward the horizon, "...But I cannot rush into something of this magnitude. I must be completely certain that it happened as I imagine. I must make a plan, I must prepare, and until all of that comes to pass... beautiful patience, beautiful patience."
"......?!"
Everyone began glancing at one another in bewilderment, their hearts pounding fiercely.
Since when did Robin speak like this? At any problem, he always shouted arrogantly and dove headfirst into the fray.
How sensitive and enormous was this problem that made him hesitate in such a manner?
Secondly, when Robin Burton—the one responsible for most of the Universe's current wars—speaks of spilling a great deal of blood, what exactly is "a great deal" in his view!?
"...I think it's time the little sister got acquainted with the Imperial Guard and handled some administrative matters." Holak placed his hand on young Althera's head and winked at her to walk with him.
The atmosphere was extremely heavy—this was a good time to step back and leave him alone.
Althera squeezed Holak's hand to pull it away, but she began walking with him. Whatever was happening with Robin, she truly didn't have the standing or the strength to stay and listen, or even to ask Robin more about what had occurred.
"Wait."
But she stopped when she heard Robin's voice, turning around seriously, "Any orders?"
"......" Robin stared at Althera's face, dazed for a few seconds, "I want you to take care of someone for me. It will be difficult and delicate, but I don't trust anyone but you with this mission."
"Take care of someone for you?" Althera furrowed her brows tightly, "...Can't you wait until I become a bit stronger?"
".....?" Holak stared at Robin's face with a bewildered, betrayed expression. What did he mean by difficult and delicate, and no one else being trustworthy enough? Even if he was the son of the Behemoth, he could handle it!!
"It requires patience and endurance, not strength." Robin pointed toward the ground beside him.
And something strange began to happen—
