2394 - The Student's Weapon
"What...?" Robin raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"..."
Neither of them replied. Jabba and Sakaar continued staring at Robin as if he were an ancient beast.
Robin had shown them the full battle against the space beasts, including the Executioner.
Although he had attached it via Soul Transfer, so his sensations during the confrontation were also included, making them feel the terror of the moment, they of course hadn't been there to assess its power themselves.
But within that same memory shard, there was something they could use for evaluation...
Robin had used only an Array and the power of his soul to burn hundreds of thousands of space beasts.
But against the Executioner, he brought out His Five Master Laws, the ten stars, and even a weapon like Seraphim and his Legendary Spiritual Creature—only to manage taking an arm and forcing her to retreat.
Legendary!
The battle from start to finish was legendary and spine-chilling!!
Jabba looked at his master in a different light, with bated breath... He was no longer just a researcher who wanted to build an empire to defend him and provide resources as he used to say—his master was truly one of the most powerful beings in the Universe.
He came with his head held high because he had solved a major problem and now deserved to call himself the disciple of Lord Human... but what about the disciple of Lord Robin, who severed the arm of a Space Beasts Ancestor and forced it to flee? How long would it take for him to reach a level that qualified him to say that sentence out loud?!
Jabba, with the same look, let out a sigh and shook his head... the Mission had become much harder.
As for Sakaar, he used his nose, his spiritual sense, and his blood-forged familiarity to examine Robin more than once, as if he wanted to make sure that this was his master...
He had come that day with his head raised, ready to be used as a weapon to pave the way for his master, proud that the Demon Army had reached immense power, that he himself had become as strong as an average Monarch.
But in the face of that overwhelming power he witnessed, in the face of six Master Laws... it became clear that he was still just a low-ranking subordinate.
The scene even included Marlik the Butcher being slapped with the very hand he had given to eat now... Marlik, known as the Bully of the Behemoths, so famous that even Sakaar had heard of him, was being bullied!
Deny the scene? He had seen with his own eyes Robin planting the Sun of Truth in the Infant, seen the Six Symbols with his own eyes and felt them, but he had not realized their true magnitude until he saw five of them in battle.
"…My teacher." Jabba finally spoke, "I realize you have a fondness for praise and spectacle, but this is excessive."
"What's the problem?" Robin asked, puzzled, "Don't you want to stay informed?"
"You even included the part where you breached and reaped the Sixth Law, and the part where you said you're far stronger than your state when fighting the Executioner, and that you would ascend to a being beyond humanity!" Jabba replied quickly.
"That's to reassure you that you have a mighty sky above your heads," Robin waved his hand, "The fault is mine for wanting to broaden your horizons."
Then he leaned forward slightly, "Now that you've seen and heard everything, including the words of the Executioner and the All-seeing God, we must—"
"Argh!!"
At that moment, Sakaar let out a pained cry and his body began to writhe.
*Crack* *Crack*
His foot twisted upward and snapped at the knee; the Armor couldn't stop it. His arm also twisted behind his back and broke, bones protruding from the flesh. His neck itself began to rotate around its axis, wringing itself.
"…." Robin gazed at Sakaar for a while with a pitying look, then turned his full focus toward Jabba, "What were we saying?"
"…." Jabba quickly refocused on Robin, "We must."
"…?" Robin furrowed his brows, then snapped his fingers. "Ah, we must realize that there are people who want us to fail—powerful people we cannot fight directly. But we can sabotage their plans, not for the All-seeing God, but for our own survival."
"Understood, of course!" Jabba nodded with extreme seriousness.
*Thwack* Robin struck Jabba on the head with the thick book. "You don't seem to understand anything. What exactly is this content?"
"It's the toil of my life!!" Jabba placed both hands on his head, nearly in tears.
"The first quarter is your true life's toil—it's what qualifies this book to be one of the Treasures of the Universe. But what about the other three quarters?" Robin stared into Jabba's eyes. "Methods to enhance Savage Blood in the Second Training Path? Methods to remove the upper limit of a Second Training Path user's potential? Methods to alleviate symptoms and reduce the appearance of savage manifestations?"
Then he slammed the book onto the table. "You are redrawing the Second Training Path, beautifying it and fixing it—repairing the path imposed upon us as a way to humiliate the inhabitants of the Universe and turn them into beasts!"
"…." Jabba looked down for a moment, then lifted his gaze back to his master's eyes. "What's wrong with that?"
"…?" Robin reached out, grabbed the book, and prepared to strike him again.
"Just hear me out!!" Jabba raised his hand quickly. "As you can see for yourself, my use of beast blood in the book served as a catalyst to activate the dormant Mutable particles within humans and attempt to multiply them. The Second Path will no longer be defined by the Draconid family, the Felid family, and others—the situation will change entirely."
Robin furrowed his brows slightly. "But beast blood will invade human bodies, and some bestial features will appear on them—even if minimal, they will show."
"Yes, but the animalistic behaviors will disappear. The issue of a beast being a World Calamity—if everyone who uses its blood will at most become a World Calamity—that too will vanish. Even the external appearances of Path users will diminish significantly." Jabba replied quickly. "What is a human to you—the body or the soul? I will guarantee you a human soul and human behavior!"
"..." Robin placed the book back beside him and began rubbing his chin.
"My teacher, why not set aside the matter of pride for a moment?" Jabba sensed he had an opportunity. "Perhaps those entities truly intended to insult B-14 and limit our future—I agree with your interpretation after everything I've seen..." Then he smiled. "But what's the harm in using this punishment as a weapon?"
