2363 - Personification
Middle Sector 115—
Whoever said sound doesn't travel in space has definitely never witnessed a space war.
*BOOOOOOOOOOM*
The attacks of the Law Dominators and the Royal Spirit Masters made space tremble, unleashing colossal amounts of energy everywhere—dense and abundant enough to serve as a medium for sounds... and screams.
"AAAAH!!!"
*THUD* *THUD* *THUD*
The vessels kept firing without pause, and lives kept separating from their bodies.
The death toll piled up dangerously with every passing second. Entire planets collapsed before their eyes like ancient mythical legends, yet no one glanced in that direction twice.
Planetary destruction and scattered debris here, on the outer edges of the Oppression Behemoth Galaxy, had become all too familiar.
*SLASH* Kiryān appeared at the galaxy's border and stabbed someone in the chest.
"Ughh!" The white-haired person winced in clear pain, but didn't die as expected. That person grabbed the spear with his left hand and punched Kiryān with his right.
*BAM* Kiryān used the spear's shaft to block the blow, then opened his blue eyes wide and stared into his opponent's eyes. Something in space itself began to vibrate intensely *WOOOM*
"Ughh!" The white-haired person groaned in pain.
"Kiryān!!" From afar, Helmor advanced like a rampaging beast, with his long white hair, black clothes, and his terrifying, glaring eye. Even his movements seemed to tear the space before him. "Be a man and stand your ground, honor your title and live up to it!"
"Tsk." Kiryān took advantage of his opponent's pain, swiftly withdrawing the spear, then kicked him backward.
As for Kiryān himself, he quickly retreated into the galaxy, then with a simple gesture of his hand, he moved the nearest planet out of its orbit and brought it closer to him.
"...?!" Helmor slowed down when he saw that scene.
Ever since Kaylis used planets as a weapon against Darvion, this lowly tactic had officially become one of the benefits of artificial galaxies!
And he, though he could destroy a planet at the cost of some of his energy, would certainly not be able to destroy all the planets of the galaxy one by one. If he did, he would ultimately hand himself over to Kiryān on a silver platter, drained of energy and unable to defend himself.
And Kiryān, the man famous as the Destroyer of Souls, was not someone to act recklessly against. If he caught him in a state where he wasn't fully focused, a spiritual attack from him could end the battle—and his life.
"What kind of conqueror are you, and what kind of Behemoth?" Helmor raised his voice. "What's with this back-and-forth for two whole weeks? Do you want to continue this war in such a manner until all your planets are destroyed one by one? Until every living being connected to your name is killed? Come and face me, and die like a man!"
"...I am waiting for something." Kiryān stopped after retreating a safe distance into the galaxy, both embarrassed and angry—he had never received such insults before and didn't know how to respond. "I am waiting for support."
"Support?!" Helmor laughed. "Who under the sky can stop me? Who can save you from me? Did the Shadow Swords promise you Note Fleets and Epic Weapons? Haha!"
"...You just said to be a man? Respect my title?" Kiryān showed clear anger. "Why don't you be a man and admit who supports you? Why don't you respect your own title and stop serving strangers?"
"....?" Helmor furrowed his brows deeply. "What are you talking about? What—"
"The Father!" At that moment, a voice came from Helmor's side. A girl with white hair approached quickly. "Check this out fast—it's footage from a live broadcast that's been running in the Soul Society for hours!"
"A live broadcast in the Soul Society?" Helmor took the light disc with annoyance. "This thing had better be useful, or else the consequences of interrupting my speech won't be easy."
Then he passed his soul into the Disc and began to watch.
"…?!"
His expression gradually tightened and worsened, noticeably so.
"…Hedrick?!"
"Hmm?" Kiryān, who was preparing for a conversation with Helmor, overheard everything by chance. He immediately turned to the nearest combat hotspot, then *swish* killed one of Helmor's World Calamities, and pointed at his disciple's disciple: "Go and investigate what's happening in the Soul Society for me, something about a live broadcast."
"Yes!!"
After the man left, Kiryān returned to scrutinize Helmor from a distance. He truly wanted to extend his spiritual sense to explore that Disc along with him, but he feared it might be a trap—that there might be something in that Disc designed to harm him.
Nevertheless, as the minutes passed, his patience began to dance on a thin rope… Helmor's angry, disturbed, and incredulous expressions were eating him alive, tempting him to try!!
"…" Kiryān ran out of patience and began to extend his spiritual sense.
"Your Majesty!!" At that moment, the man returned hurriedly, his face pale, holding a Disc in his hand. "I found what you were looking for."
"Hmm? Back already?" Kiryān furrowed his brows deeply. "Did you investigate thoroughly?"
"It's impossible for me to be mistaken. There's no talk in the society besides this topic; even the auctions have been postponed," Kiryān's disciple's disciple quickly handed him the Disc. "See for yourself!"
“…?!” Kiryān quickly grabbed the disc—the very thing that had halted that Soul Society’s auction.
Instantly, his expression shifted to disbelief, but not with the panic and suspicion Helmor had shown—rather, surprise… and joy!
“Haha.. hahaha!!” Kiryān laughed loudly, “No wonder he said he’d send me the girl Renara, so this is Renara, hahahaha!!”
“…?” Helmor’s pale face stared at Kiryān again, “Send you Renara?” Then he returned to check the recordings, “Yes, yes… so that’s it.”
Then his surprise began to turn into anger, “Out of all the insects in the Universe, that damned All-seeing God could only find my seed to turn into a damned Unbound?!”
Then he took a deep breath and shouted, “Increase the pressure, let’s finish this damned place!!”
“Oooh!”
In the next moment, the already raging battle flared up even more, forcing even Kiryān himself to return to the fight while laughing, “Haha, hold on—Support is coming, Support is definitely coming!”
As for Helmor, he did not join the fight.
If Kiryān had still been watching him, he would have noticed that Helmor took a step back… his expression grim, his mind deep in thought.
When the Transcendent, the All-seeing God, chose to cut off a piece of his power and create an Unbound One, did he pick, of all people, the one he hated the most? Hedrick, whom he loathed to the very marrow?
It is clear that The All-seeing God personalized matters with him specifically because he broke the norms!
