2400 - The Power of the Demons
"...Finding other universes and subjugating them, of course." Robin showed a cruel smile.
".....?!" Sakaar swallowed his saliva.
The King of Demon Kings, a being with the power of the ancient plagues who nearly destroyed the entire universe in the Abyss of Destruction, merely a Crimson Plague who had become as strong as a Blue Plague, and even surpassed some of them in power...
Yet, he felt terror from Robin at this moment.
"I realize this is a big request." Robin raised his hands, "But no one can carry it out except you."
"......" Sakaar clenched his fists, "Has anyone ever attempted something like this before? Perhaps you heard something and didn't relay it to us through the Soul Shard?"
"No, no one has tried." Robin shook his head, "And I am certain of this because the All-seeing God told the Executioner to go and search for the fugitive individuals from the A-rank Universes. If there were anyone creating a buffer zone around their own universe, he would have surely mentioned it."
"And we are to do what no one has ever done before?!" Sakaar raised his voice slightly.
"Exciting, isn't it?" Robin chuckled, "Haha, only things never done before are what can bring glory!"
"My Master!!" Sakaar took a step forward.
"I told you, I know this is a big request." Robin gestured for him to stand, "We can't occupy a single Sector entirely, so how could we surround the entire Universe? ...Isn't that what you want to say?" Then, placing his hands behind his back, "I want you to answer yourself."
"....?!" Sakaar was shocked, "Answer myself about how to besiege a Universe, and search for other universes?"
"Heh~" Robin smiled, then stepped forward and patted Sakaar's shoulder before walking past him toward the Gate, "Come to the other side, because unlike you, this place is uncomfortable for me."
*Hum* *Hum*
"Listen, Sakaar," Robin spoke as he walked to a safe spot between the falling body parts and scattered blood, "Set aside your bloodlust and your ability to acquire the Reapers' traits with relative ease... What is your other strength?"
"...." Sakaar thought for a moment, "Reproduction."
"Correct." Robin nodded, "Up until this moment, you've been suppressing the reproduction rate of our Demon Nests, and yet... what are your numbers now?"
"Slightly over two billion Demons in the young Sector 101 alone, and there are about five billion Demons in the young Sectors 100 and 99." Sakaar replied quickly.
"7 billion Demons, and that's with birth control policies." Robin nodded, "Cast those policies aside, activate reproduction to its maximum setting, those seven billion could become 70 billion within a year, correct?"
"Correct, if we wanted to maintain the health of the newborns..." Sakaar turned to Earth.
Ten births a year is very easy—they could produce far more—but ten within a year would be good for both the mother and the cubs alike.
"The cubs reach maturity within a year, correct? That means within an additional year, we'd have 70 billion reproducing to become 700 billion." Robin laughed out loud, "Within a century, wouldn't we have enough to encircle the Shell of the Universe? Within a millennium, wouldn't we have enough soldiers to establish advanced defense outposts?"
"..." Sakaar nodded, "There's a reason even the Ancients never unleashed reproduction in this manner."
"Food? You have the cure in the blood of space beasts—the blood kills a great number of those who try to drink it, from what I've heard, at any rate. And today we have a massive stockpile of those creatures' blood and meat, and you'll provide more in the future... And as for human blood, wars never stop, and you can plant a number of unofficial nests in the young sectors to keep yourselves self-funded. Everything is settled."
"……" Sakaar didn't know what to say.
Moments ago, he felt marginalized and wronged; now he felt he was facing a colossal responsibility he couldn't bear.
"...Sakaar." Robin spoke seriously. "Your ancestors were always the source of fear for the universe. It's time for you to be the source of safety and its first line of defense... Don't you want such a standing for the demons, for your kind?"
Then he winked at him. "...After everyone acknowledges you, in due time, as protectors of the universe... who would be able to stop you from moving through the Young Belt and the Middle Belt as you please?"
Sakaar nodded after a long silence. "...We have never followed an order of yours without finding good in it." Then he spoke seriously, "What you've said will come to pass."
"That's the Sakaar I know." Robin opened his hands, laughing.
Then *whoosh*—Robin reached his hand into his cabinet and pulled out the Executioner's hand again.
Then his eyes began to flicker with gold, and he pointed toward her with his other hand.
*Fwoosh* The arm rose upward, and beside it appeared the Symbol of Creation and the Symbol of Primordial Chaos, rotating quietly.
Then *shooosh* more drops of blood began to emerge from the arm, one after another.
"...?!" Sakaar's nose began to act up wildly again, so he quickly pinched it shut.
But his soul sense didn't deprive him of the pleasure of the scene as he watched the drops pull away from the arm and float beneath it—the seventh-level Middle Belt space seemed unable to hold this wondrous blood!
After nearly a full minute, Robin reached out and returned the arm to its place, then drew the blood drops together into a single massive droplet the size of a fist, and slowly pushed it toward Sakaar.
"...!" Sakaar extended his hand forward, but planted a foot behind him to brace himself, for he could feel the tremendous weight of that sphere.
"...?" Yet he was stunned when he felt it float above his hand as well, surrounded by a faint golden glow.
"No space ring will carry it, but I've ensured it remains easy to move with you for a year." Robin placed his hand behind his back. "This amount is a hundred times what you consumed moments ago. Drink as much as you can, and summon Amon, Malgra, and the rest of the kings as well—give each one a few drops... The coming period will not be easy for you."
Then he sighed and turned toward his glass house atop the mountain, "...I'll rely on you for the rest."
