2279 - A Similar Situation?
"...Law Dominator Realm, a fraud?" Glacion revealed an ugly smile, looking as if he was about to faint.
The fact that he was a Law Dominator was the thing he was most proud of. It had secured his empire's peace of mind, earned him respect and prosperity for his lineage. It was proof of his genius and hard work, his past, present, and future... it was everything!
"Think about it, Glacion," Robin rubbed his forehead, "The more you were a diligent student and devoted your life to mastering a Heavenly Law, the more it would show you favor and open a small part of the Cosmic Seal for you? As a kind of reward? An incentive? It might be a trivial Minor Law, and yet you'd find someone drowning millions of years trying to earn its approval just to raise another 10% of their base power. What kind of bizarre system is that?"
"..." Glacion was on the verge of tears; he himself was a Guardian of a Minor Law.
"Secondly, the idea that Heavenly Laws have consciousness and favoritism toward a person—that doesn't compute in my brain." Robin shook his head.
"No, no, you're attacking the fundamentals now, Lord Robin," Glacion replied quickly, "There are many cases of laws showing favoritism among the Guardians and Monarchs. The most famous example is Interas, and the closest one is Helen Destra, who is rumored to have been protected by the Ashification Law!"
"In my opinion, I think this is part of a scam." Robin tilted his head slightly. "A conspiracy to make the Heavenly Laws around you seem more important than they really are, and larger than their true scale, so that they become the goal, the destination, and the focus in everyone's eyes, leaving your mind preoccupied with nothing else. And if it's not coincidences like these, then it's due to an individual's talent, or because the one who set the rules deliberately left loopholes to craft his game centered around the Heavenly Laws."
Then he showed an expression of disgust. "The Heavenly Laws around you, the laws that fall within the boundaries of this universe, are too trivial to have a consciousness that chooses, loves, or favors."
"...?" Glacion looked down.
Again, not even an hour had passed beside him, and again he began to hear things that rebuilt everything he had ever known.
"Can you focus on me a little?!" Althera raised her voice. "What's happened to me?"
All those words between Robin and Glacion were like throwing fuel on the fire for her. She was silently burning with rage as she watched them talk about everything except her problem, which had started the conversation in the first place.
"...." Robin stared into Althera's eyes. "It doesn't take a genius to realize that the Five Master Symbols were the reason all restrictions within the universe were lifted from you. The limits on using Laws and the pressure other Laws exerted on you—all of it vanished because of the appearance of five Master Symbols. By the way, the limits are still gone. If you reach the Nexus State again, you will undoubtedly become one of the strongest in the universe. That hasn't changed."
Then he continued, clasping his hands over his stomach. "And I specifically say 'five' because the symbols appeared in succession. But according to Glacion's confident account, you stopped precisely when the fifth one appeared... That might mean something."
"....?" Althera opened her mouth slightly. "Was the price for this... that my internal energy disappeared and my understanding of the Fundamental Repetition Law vanished?"
"Apparently not." Robin tilted his head slightly. "You said you felt immense power, which means the lifting of restrictions on using Laws was successful while you still retained your strength. And Glacion said he felt your power—that's evidence that the lifting of restrictions didn't cost you your strength."
"...." Althera and Glacion nodded.
Robin continued, "This proves that the incident of the threads and the boundary dissolution occurred and ended when Althera opened her eyes. If it had a major effect like killing the energy gathering center, Althera would not have granted that power first and then started taking what was hers later... This is illogical and contradicts the principles of fair exchange."
"Are you saying that the 100% dissolution of the boundaries on the heavenly laws has nothing to do with what happened to my energy gathering center?!" Althera asked in great astonishment.
"No, that incident happened and ended when you opened your eyes. It is an intriguing event worthy of further study and research, as it may greatly benefit us later." Robin tilted his head slightly, then furrowed his brows a little. "But there is something else that deeply concerns me..."
"What is it, Lord Robin?" Glacion asked quickly.
"...In truth, I have a soul domain almost identical to what Althera has at this moment. I always thought those interwoven fibers within the walls of my domain were part of it, and later I assumed they were the elastic range trait. But now I see their formation within the walls of Althera's soul domain vividly. I see it before my eyes—I see its living colors fading, and I see it merging silently..."
Robin furrowed his brows. “…I almost flew with joy in the past when I learned that I had a unique spiritual trait I was born with. I was happy because it was the only thing I never had to work hard for, and I finally felt that luck was starting to play on my side… but what I see now is the greatest proof that this isn’t true. At some point, I went through what Althera is going through now.”
Then he looked down, “…but when?”
Robin stood up and began pacing slowly toward the cliff, his hands behind his back. “When were the boundaries of the Laws lifted from me? How did that help me?… And how did I not feel something this significant happening?”
Then he furrowed his brows tightly. “If something like this happened to me, I would undoubtedly remember it… Was I a clueless child who didn’t understand what was going on? But do such blessings descend upon children for no reason? And me, the unlucky one among all?”
Then he slowly raised his brows.
Expressions of shock began to accumulate on his face.
“That day… that day matches every specification…”
“Young age and little understanding, a change in the course of my life, a sphere of golden energy lifting me off the ground, returning to zero…”
Then he raised his voice in a shout:
“That day when I first met the All-seeing God?!”
