2409 - Temporal Shift
Middle Sector 93 — Opposite the Buffer Zone
*Silence~*
The space of the sector at that moment was strangely silent.
Not because it was empty—no, no, it was far from that... quite the opposite, in fact. That spot had never been so crowded before.
At this moment, there were no fewer than 3,000 Fleets in a purely offensive formation, a massive Squadron composed of over a million vehicles of varying sizes, waiting to strike.
And before that colossal Squadron, colored in pale yellow, stood Arkail with nearly forty of his sons, floating leisurely in the sector's space.
All their eyes gleamed with hostility, all of them clearly ready for battle...
Especially Arkail himself!
Hostility directed at whom? At a team no less powerful!
"Arkail!" A person standing at a safe distance shouted in a loud voice, "Return on your own two feet, instead of me sending you back in a shroud!"
That person was massive in build—human, but nearly two and a half meters tall, with rippling muscles visible even beneath his loose royal robe.
His face was somewhat square, and his expression radiated strength and seriousness. In his hand, he held a Scepter topped with a massive orb surrounded by an ominous power and a terrifying Aura.
Behind him were about fifty people as well, their auras strong and their readiness for battle high, all wearing loose robes but binding their waists tightly.
Behind them was a massive squadron, noticeably larger than the one Arkail had brought; with the naked eye, one could observe five thousand fleets of unified color and defensive formation.
On their side, finally, were about three thousand fleets, their colors varied and their fleet formations clearly disparate—indeed, there were even a number of individuals standing specially before those squadrons, gazing toward Arkail and his sons with malice.
That is, the total forces gathered against Arkail reached eight thousand fleets in all, against his own three thousand.
…There was also a certain orange vehicle moving slowly before the fighter squadron as well, and Arkail's sons were keeping their eyes fixed on it especially.
"Send me back in a shroud?" Arkail's eyes gleamed. "The last one who said similar words to me failed to fulfill his promise, and you will not do it today, Grafour!"
...After the announcement of Renara's control over the Sorcery Galaxy and Zargul's escape, and then on the same day, the bloodiest battle of the modern era took place between Hedrick and Darvion, which ended with the latter's death... Arkail realized that neutrality had become a luxury he could no longer afford, that hesitation was no longer logical, and that cautious approach had become absurd.
So on that very day, he sent his entire army eastward, toward Middle Sector 95. He did not wait for them—instead, he took all the First Tier sons and headed toward the Great Space Gate, leaping through within a few hours to the Syndicate's support and confront them single-handedly.
In that battle, the power of Arkail and his sons, which he had tried with all his might to conceal, was revealed. In that battle, Arkail and his sons faced one and a half million combat vehicles carrying millions of cannons, hundreds of Nexus States, and more than twenty Law Dominators... and they defeated them utterly.
Only three of Arkail's sons were injured and had to receive treatment for three consecutive years... In contrast, ten Law Dominators from the Syndicate were killed and a thousand Fleets were destroyed before the rest retreated in flight.
But that was not enough for Arkail the Temporal, who continued to pursue them, and he and his sons brought down another thousand fleets and an additional monarch, before they drove all of the Syndicate's forces toward Middle Sector 92... that is, toward the sector belonging to the Behemoth of Gravity, Grafour.
That pursuit resulted in injuries to ten more sons on Arkail's side, and he himself was exhausted after a certain battle where he found himself alone facing nearly a million cannons, so they stopped in Middle Sector 93... first, to protect him so the fleet would not return, and second, to heal.
As for the forces of the Behemoth of Time, Arkail, they did not remain idle like them...
During the ten years, the special forces of the Behemoth of Time cut the path from Middle Sector 96 all the way to Middle Sector 93, and in every sector they entered, they left behind a thousand fleets and officially declared the sector annexed to the sovereignty of Lord Robin.
Under the command of the Second Tier Children, the thousand fleets in Sector 95 and the other in Middle Sector 94 attacked any empire that objected to the decision, and they attacked the Syndicate's own headquarters.
They also opened routes for Marshal Aru's Note-4 vehicles to hover freely across the sectors, secured new headquarters for the Shadow Swords, and established bases for the Grave Empire for those powers wishing to go and pledge their allegiance to them.
This sudden shift and shocking announcement sent another wave of uproar rippling through the universe once more...
After Lord Hedrick and Lady Renara and what they did, Arkail the Temporal declares the subjugation of sectors in the name of Lord Robin!!
This, of course, is apart from what happened with Zavarus the Savage and Kiryān the Conqueror...
No one knows what is happening behind the scenes, but everyone knows that something big is underway, and that all these figures would not simply wake up and choose to work for someone else's benefit... someone known to be merely a Truth Chosen!!
The rumors about him no longer flutter about—they have become like raging waves, and listening to ten minutes of what is said makes a person cover their ears and leave at the sheer absurdity of the words.
Most of them, of course, are negative.
And the most famous among them is his suspicious connection to the Red Plague, backed by recordings of a massive quantity of those things entering the mysterious Planet Donara... the planet about which terrifying theories have begun to emerge.
The eyes on Robin opened wider with fear and anticipation. A terrifying power had emerged—a force attempting to extend its influence over the Sectors one by one. No one knew whether this new power would be benevolent like the Stellar Academies and the Soul Society, or whether it would become a new Era of Tyranny like the Syndicate and the Tyrant.
