2425 - Hatred of the White
Somewhere in Middle Sector 170—
*Crackle... hiss...*
A light recording began to play in fragments until it finally stabilized and the image held steady.
In the scene, the cameraman appeared to be capturing the vastness of space in a breathtaking shot, but soon a cargo ship came into view on the horizon... and the cameraman's voice was heard:
In the next moment, the scene changed—everything was in the same place, but what was being recorded was different... For instance, the walls of the cargo ship seemed to have vanished, making its contents visible.
And what was inside was a massive number of the Plague!!
Their colors and features weren't fully discernible in that mode of recording, but those horns and that physical build were etched into the minds of every being in the universe—they were undoubtedly Crimson Plague.
And the bigger problem was that they weren't wearing any armor; they were all mothers, women, and young cubs... and that alone was a problem.
Thermal imaging showed the mothers tearing off chunks of flesh the size of human limbs and distributing them to the children, pouring blood into their mouths. The children's behavior during feeding was catastrophic and savage, as expected of The Plague!
*Click* Then the recording ended.
"Sons of bitches..." The person watching the recording cursed in a low voice, then raised his pale hand and played another recording...
This time the recording was on the surface of a planet. The ground was covered in blood and very few human remains.
"Huh?" The person who played the recording narrowed his single eye, focusing on the mountains and moons in the background.
*Bang* The recording player was smashed with force.
"GRAAAAH!!" The pale figure stood and screamed in madness, "That filthy scum, that treacherous lying manipulator, that planet was infected with the Plague by the Syndicate, and we were the ones who cleaned it up! These marks on the ground are battle scars—I myself killed half the Plague there!!"
*BAM* Then he kicked aside all the other recordings he hadn't even looked at yet. "Has lying and fabricating stories about us become the universal trend these days?!"
*BAM* He then struck his chair and gestured for the light to turn on, revealing himself in public. "Damn it, Robin Burton... damn it!!"
He was a pale creature with milk-like skin, possessing one crimson eye and one horn with a crimson tip... Leusar.
"What are you doing, you foolish human?!" Leusar raised his voice, "Why would you risk everything you've built for a handful of stinking Crimson Plague? Why must I lose this paradise because of them?!"
Leusar bared a row of human teeth in his furious expression, inflamed crimson veins beginning to spread across his large eye, as if he could already see the Stellar Academies—the heaven in his sight—collapsing under the rumors.
And this is not mere speculation but reality—the spread of the Cosmic Academies has decreased significantly. The children of the Behemoths have stopped accepting leadership missions, and those who had previously agreed have begun making excuses and justifications to delay their activities.
Almost everything has come to a halt, and their vehicles have become the focus of suspicion and doubt from both the general public and the high-ranking figures alike. It is very clear that they have been influenced by these lies!!
The Shadow Swords have spread news confirming earlier reports that Lord Robin managed to tame a nest of imps and that he achieved a great Breakthrough for the sake of humanity, and all those beautiful things… but all those fabricated recordings that appear daily, as if they were being produced underground, have thwarted everything.
"Stupid Crimson Plague… stupid human…" Leusar clenched his fists tightly and began advancing toward the window to watch the Peacekeeping Army fight a nest of Crimson Plague at that moment. "The Oath is in its final stages of weakness… patience, patience."
Then his eyes gleamed with hatred. "No one will take from me what the Cosmic Academies provide, not while I am enjoying this bliss… not after I have become this powerful."
The space around Leusar trembled…
Even someone like Zavarus the Savage, if he were here, would have tensed with caution upon feeling that stubborn Aura.
Leusar's life is far too short for cosmic affairs, but his speed in gaining power is unparalleled.
A Guardian? That is merely an appetizer at this point.
Just a few years ago, a report came to Leusar about an extremely powerful Blue Demon in Middle Sector 335, and he went there, discovering its terrifying might. Its description matched those ancient beasts that the Cosmic Elder fought when he destroyed the Abyss of Destruction...
Leusar killed it and ate its soul after sustaining minor injuries.
He devoured the finest meal he had ever tasted in his life...
And since that time, he made it his mission to find and consume every Remnant of the Abyss of Destruction.
But...
But those rabble of the Crimson Plague and that foolish Lord are ruining his dreams!!
"Ghhh— aaaghhh— kaaaaa—" Leusar let out a devastating roar that shattered the glass, then surged toward the battlefield screaming, "Withdraw, all of you humans, they are mine!!"
