2373 - A Higher Entity
"...Because I am as well." Robin sighed, then continued before Glacion could ask him anything, "In truth, that array I began drawing wasn't some genius idea I thought of and started executing from the Void. I could somehow sense it."
"Sense it?" Glacion wondered.
"Yes, that happened after I mastered Causality, the fifth Master Law. I began to feel hidden connections between the Master Laws, and I don't mean that they complete each other or anything like that—no, I mean real, tangible connections that can be reached."
Then he continued, "From that time on, I tried to dedicate some of the consciousnesses I possess to investigate the matter, but my sense of those connections was far too weak to reach anything. However, that changed after the battle against the Executioner. After I used the Master Laws extensively, with great power and synchronization for a period, those connections became a bit clearer... just a bit."
Then he smiled, "But that was enough for me to return to that direction and try to draw what I felt—draw those connections. And every time I drew something and broke through to a higher Master Law level that day, I could feel the connections more clearly and continue drawing, until I finally completed it, and the Law of Primordial Chaos was born, joining the group, and I found its method and its own connections."
"..." Glacion took a deep breath. That day, the Lord wasn't experimenting with something new—he was drawing what he felt? Everything that happened back then...
"After I obtained the Primordial Chaos and that Phenomenon came to an end, I immediately began with Althera's nomination, then the successive travels, so I pushed the matter of that Seal to the back of my mind and forgot about it... until I finished unlocking Hedrick's limits. When I confirmed that something was wrong—that exhaustion I feel after using the Master Laws is unjustified given that my body is sound and my energies are dense, and that persistent weakness I verified could no longer be ignored—I started looking into the matter again, with seriousness and determination and all that... but I found the issue to be very simple."
Robin smiled. "With a simple search, I found a number of those Seals inside my body."
"Seals planted inside your body?!" Glacion was shocked.
"Rather, closer to being manufactured." Robin tilted his head slightly. "I found them with a bit of searching. If they had been there before, I would have found them easily. Perhaps you don't know, but my body was once torn apart and reduced to a heart, a head, and a Life Artery connecting them via the spinal cord—hehe. If I had Seals like these, planted by the All-seeing God, for instance, I would have undoubtedly noticed them in one of those extreme adventures."
He continued, tapping on his armrest, "Most likely, those Seals were made on the day of my Breakthrough." Then he went on with his brows slightly furrowed, "And what those Seals do to my body supports that theory."
"What exactly do they do, Lord?" Glacion asked to keep the dialogue open.
"...." Robin hesitated to answer, gazing toward the horizon with a grim face, "After I found the Seals, I spent days focusing entirely on them to discover whether they did anything, and finally I caught a change... a hundred cells in my body transformed into something different."
"Your cells are transforming?" Glacion was puzzled, "Do you mean they're breaking down?"
"No." Robin shook his head, "They're merely changing. Those hundred cells suddenly became luminous like lamps at the bottom of the ocean. I can observe that their need for energy is vastly higher, their regeneration is astonishing, their protection is extraordinary—everything about them is different... as if they are no longer my cells at all!"
Then he continued calmly, "Had I not witnessed those hundred cells transforming before my eyes, I would have believed they were indeed implanted by some entity, a higher entity."
*Gulp* Glacion stared at Robin's face for a few moments, "Do you think those hundred cells hold some particular significance?"
"Hmm? No, not at all." Robin waved a hand, "After her transformation completed, I noticed a hundred other cells beginning the same process."
"Your body's cells are systematically transforming to become a higher rank?!" Glacion exclaimed.
"That's what's happening as we speak." Robin shrugged, "Of course, a hundred cells or two hundred—these are all extremely small numbers, since the human body contains between 30 and 40 trillion cells, but still... I feel embarrassed saying this out loud, but those hundred new cells have already begun improving my body as a whole!"
Then he chuckled, "With a quick calculation, I found that I'd need 20 billion years for my body's cells to fully transform into that state—do you think I'll live to see that day?" Then he waved his hand, "But honestly, I'm looking forward to the day I'll have 10,000 of those cells, or even a hundred thousand!"
"So those higher-ranking cells, your slow transformation, comes from the hexagonal Seals? And the Seals came from your Breakthrough that day you shattered the All-seeing God's restraints..." Glacion looked down while nodding, trying to connect the dots, then raised his eyes and looked directly into Robin's, "But why a hundred cells? Why not more or fewer?"
"I think the answer to this question is easy." Robin waved twice, then raised his palm slightly upward, and seals began to emerge from it one after another until ten seals appeared, slowly rotating around each other. "These are all the seals in my body—ten of them. I believe each one alters ten cells at a time."
"...?!" Glacion's eyes widened to their fullest.
The ten seals were identical in shape, each with six heads and an eye symbol in the center... but they were by no means alike in condition.
Only one of the seals was glowing intensely.
Six others varied in degrees of radiance—some shone brightly, while others were nearly dim.
The eighth and ninth were noticeably smaller, half the size!
As for the tenth, it wasn't different merely due to its glow or size—its radiance was ordinary and its size normal—but there was something distinct about its very composition... an image of a woman's face was imprinted directly beneath the eye symbol.
"Is that the Lady Althera?!" Glacion exclaimed.
