2378 - Repairing the Corrupt
*Huum*
A golden power began to gather and form above Helen's body, then slowly and deliberately took the shape of the Ouroboros Ring, the symbol of the Master Law of Creation.
"..." Caesar furrowed his brows slightly, "Is this the Golden Momentum you told me about?"
"...It's gold in color." Glacion shrugged after a brief hesitation, "Most likely it is—your knowledge is as good as mine."
"..."
The next moment, the symbol of the Master Law of Creation began to descend slowly toward Helen, until it started to merge into her chest, after which it vanished completely.
At that point, Robin withdrew his hand and smiled, "Alright, I'm done. She'll most likely wake up within a few days, or perhaps a few months, depending on how her body responds."
"That's it?!" Caesar stepped forward and pointed at her, "I urge you to be certain—no one knows her condition better than I do. I've been watching her die for a while now!"
"If the Primordial Soul had shattered or vanished, it would have been over. I would have tried to communicate with the Planet Spirits if death were near, and I would have given up entirely if it had happened long ago..."
He continued, "But the death of the body is a much simpler matter, for the body is merely a vessel to contain the soul and grant it the ability to express itself." Robin placed his hands behind his back, "The body is a clay puppet whose role ends upon separating from the soul, and this is clearly evident in the case of death... anyone who sees the corpse of a loved one will immediately realize that this is no longer their beloved, that this sack of flesh has finished its role, and the person they knew is gone."
"......?" Caesar's eyes began to slowly widen, a white glimmer starting to flicker within them.
Then Robin pointed toward Helen, "As for her, her soul is intact and imprisoned, and her body is intact thanks to the Arrays. All I need to do is fill the Life Artery and activate the neural signals in her body, and this is currently underway... a simple matter with the aid of the Law of Creation."
"..." Robin cast a glance toward Caesar, then turned and headed toward Hydras, "Alright, your turn."
"Ugh..." Caesar began rubbing his eyes vigorously, then looked toward his father with a severe headache, "Can you do something about him? His Primordial Soul is no longer connected to his Soul Domain; it's trapped inside."
"I can see that." Robin raised an eyebrow as he examined Hydras, "That scoundrel seems possessed."
Hydras was not asleep like Helen; rather, he was staring into Robin's eyes with two terrifyingly empty eyes from beneath his thick hair.
"Nothing to report." Caesar replied calmly while rubbing his forehead, "I couldn't meditate with him sitting there staring at me with those strange eyes, so I put him to sleep in a coffin beside his sister and closed his eyes, but he keeps opening them as you can see."
"His body is alive and his Soul Domain is intact, full of units. It's natural for there to be reactions—exchanging glances, eating, attacking anyone who approaches him. You could, for example, make him perform specific actions with focused soul commands... He's now like a puppet set on autopilot." Then he smiled and passed his hand toward him, "Let's make him regain control, shall we?"
"What can you do in a situation like this?" Caesar wondered, "Has your knowledge of soul matters reached that level?"
"...Honestly, no." Robin replied with strange confidence, "But I'll try something."
Robin brought his hand closer to Hydras's forehead and gestured toward him, dense Soul Power began enveloping him rapidly.
*BAM* Hydras jolted, trying to defend himself, causing part of the coffin to burst, but the Soul Power was too dense even for him.
"Wait, wait..." Robin focused intensely, his eyes glowing with power.
At that moment, inside Hydras's Soul Domain, something else was happening—
*Whoosh* *Whoosh*
A glowing white sphere was moving inside at tremendous speed, *bam* *bam* striking between the walls of the vast Soul Domain several times per second, each impact sending a vibration through the entire domain.
*Huum* At that moment, a vast number of Threads appeared from The Void and began weaving themselves into a massive web, then rose slightly until they covered the central area of the Soul Domain, and settled.
*Whoosh* *Whoosh* *Whoosh*
*Bam*
After only three seconds, the glowing sphere struck the web. Immediately, the sphere tried to veer in another direction, but the web would not allow it—it closed in on it at once.
The web trapped the sphere and pulled it downward, beginning to embed itself into the Soul Domain and merge with it until the web was completely fused into the domain, pinning the sphere to the surface.
"Hmm." Robin showed a smile, then withdrew his hand. "Alright, I used my power as a Soul Master of Ten Stars and re-established contact between his Primordial Soul and the domain."
"Will that be enough?" Caesar wondered.
"Of course not." Robin waved with a chuckle, "It's like reattaching a severed arm to the shoulder—it's there in form, but it's still dead and won't work without some magic." Then he shrugged, "Unfortunately, I haven't reached that *magic* yet. It requires extremely advanced knowledge of the soul, knowledge I don't possess as a Ten-Star Soul Master."
Then he smiled and snapped his finger, "But I have an idea."
*Huum*
Six extremely tiny Master symbols appeared above Hydras's head and slowly descended toward his forehead until they all vanished.
The next moment, Hydras's resistance faded and his maddened eyes calmed...
"You're making him a Candidate?!" Glacion nearly wept.
"Of course not," Robin waved, "It's a Path of Truth technique. That sun will now appear within his Soul Domain, calming his Primordial Soul and making it... think." Then he shrugged, "If the idea works, he'll reconnect his soul himself. If it doesn't, well, he'll need to wait for me a while longer."
Then he placed them behind his back and clapped once with a big smile, "Alright, now we can discuss the logistics of helping Kiryān and Zavarus, and anything I forget, Glaci will remind us."
"Heh~" Caesar sighed, still rubbing his forehead, then turned and began advancing toward the door. "Come to a better place then—staying in this gloomy spot won't—"
"Hmmm..."
"...?!" The three turned toward the same direction when a sound came from there.
From Helen's coffin!
