2431 - Holakian Wishes
Middle Sector 99 – Donara
*Bang*
One of the facility's doors was thrown open forcefully, and Althera emerged from behind it, sweating, tense.
She quickly descended the stairs she hadn't seen in two months, as if folding the ground beneath her feet, her eyes unfocused… thinking about something.
"Psssst"
"..?" Althera turned toward the sudden source of the sound, "Why are you still here, Holak?!"
After Althera became Robin's candidate and it was decided she would follow him as his personal guard, and after the destruction of the Cosmic Elder's House that she had used as a refuge after losing consciousness, another building was erected for her, especially since she had become responsible for caring for the infant Aser.
The new house was no longer made of glass, and no longer adjacent to Robin as the Cosmic Elder's temporary house had been.
Instead, it was built from insulated stone to give Althera the necessary privacy for herself and her child, and it was constructed behind Robin's Glass House at a specific angle that allowed monitoring Robin at any time from the windows… this way she could protect him as his personal guard.
But in truth, she and Aser used this method to find an opportunity to ask Robin about anything standing before them after confirming he was in a rest period!
"Where do you want me to be?" Holak replied in surprise. "This house was made to monitor and guard the Boss. It's natural that I stay in it."
"Wasn't the guarding of the border Sectors handed over to the Imperial Guard?" Althera was greatly astonished. "Go and guard with them—this is my house!"
"Guarding the Boss is more important." Holak waved his hand. "The Leaders of the five squads and their Deputies can handle the simple remaining matters in my name. I didn't train them personally for nothing."
"Can the Leaders of the five squads also handle the consequences of what's happening in the Soul Society right now?" Althera raised The Disk slightly, then turned back to walk toward the door. "I must tell His Majesty."
"You think the Boss is waiting for you to tell him about something happening in the Soul Society?" Holak pulled her by the hair before she could get far and brought her in front of the window he was sitting beside. "Look."
"Ah!!" Althera almost pulled Holak's long hair too, but she fell silent when she saw the scene…
Before them now, Robin was sitting in front of his glass dwelling, surrounded by dozens of researchers. Beside him knelt Shadow Sword, awaiting orders, while Qarun's recording was now playing in the midst of everyone…
"…Did you see it too?" Althera directed the question toward Holak as she watched the scene.
"Of course." Holak nodded, "I was informed immediately," then pointed forward, "That poor Shadow Sword has been standing to the side for a while, just waiting for a chance to pass the Disk to the Boss."
"How do you think he'll react?" Althera wondered, her blood still boiling from what she had seen in the recording.
"I don't know." Holak shook his head, "If I were him, I'd just go smash Qarun's head in, and frankly, with the power I saw from him when he fought the Executioner, and the day he brought out the Seals, I don't think anything can stop him."
"I hope he does." Althera clenched her teeth, "That person is extremely infuriating." Then she turned toward Holak, "And based on my long experience, I tell you this will turn into a difficult situation if His Majesty doesn't do something quickly."
"....." Holak stared at Althera's face.
"...What?" Althera furrowed her brows in confusion.
*Bam* Holak yanked her hair again then pushed her toward the direction she came from, "Go and continue your training. Whether he does something or not, you're far too weak to help with anything. My men from the five squads are enough to carry out any order given to them."
"Ah!!" Althera turned back and kicked Holak's leg from below the knee, "You clumsy barbarian!" Then she yelled at him, "I want to see how you'll keep bullying me after I master a Master Law!!"
"Hmph!" Holak waved his hand and turned back to look out the window. "If I were in your position, I'd be worried that Aser would beat me to it in this… Your image would look absolutely terrible."
"…." Althera bit her tongue.
What His Majesty had said when he created Aser's body had indeed come to pass.
His body was made directly from Master Laws, in addition to the Sun of the Path of Truth that illuminated his head. His youthful body with ancient memories that slowly surfaced…
All of this created a transcendent genius.
At only a few months old, Aser was speaking. At one year old, he had begun learning to read and write. At two years old, he began internal energy training!
Aser was now twenty years old…
And he was still only at Level 10.
Not because he didn't understand how to cross into Level 11, or because he lacked a suitable law. No… Malik himself had offered to teach him the Major Path of Time, but Aser refused.
He said he felt it was too easy… that the Fundamental Major Law of Time posed no challenge.
Since then, he had been training alone, visiting his adoptive father every few months to ask him a few general things before returning to his solitary training.
Aser's body had already become as strong as a Martial emporer power using Shaddad's Arrays, and his soul had already reached the level of a Royal Soul Master under Morgana's supervision… but for some reason he stopped himself from training internal Energy, and His Majesty neither prevented him nor guided him.
"Hey…" Althera called out after a silence.
"Hmm?" Holak turned toward her, "Do you want advice on how to defeat your deputy, The Infant?"
"Get ready." Althera raised her head slightly, "I will form my own imperial guard divisions, into which I will put all my educational and combat experience." Then she turned and left, "After that, I want to see you boast about your followers properly in front of me!"
"…Women." Holak followed her with his gaze until she returned to her room, then looked out the window at Robin again, "…Please give orders to destroy a few sectors… please… please…"
